Meeting to be held as part of the social impact assessment of the CORU project at MNPZ

Pursuant to MNPZ’s Reconstruction and Modernisation Programme until 2020, the Moscow Oil Refinery commenced implementation of the Combined Oil Refining Unit construction project. The project is a key element of the modernisation programme, which also includes replacement of obsolete crude distillation capacity and reduction of the plant’s environmental impact.

Currently, a social impact assessment of the CORU project is being conducted by Shaneco Group.

A meeting with representatives of stakeholders (local communities) was arranged by Shaneco and the Kapotnya district administration. The meeting will take place at 17:00 on 6 October 2016 at the district council building (7, 2nd Block, Kapotnya, Moscow).

The purpose of the meeting is to share the latest information about the Project as of the initial stage of the social impact assessment, to identify potential questions, concerns and proposals that local communities may have in relation to the project.

Stakeholders can also submit their questions, proposals and opinions by e-mail (obob@shaneco.ru) by 25 October 2016.
