Born in 1953. A graduate of the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute as a geologist and mining engineer.

Additional education: a certificate in Radiological Safety and Control from the Siberian Federal University, 2015; a certificate in Current Issues in Radioecology from the Siberian Federal University, 2012; a certificate in Radiological Safety and Control from the Kontrol i Bezopasnost Training Centre, 2011; a certificate in Radiological safety, accounting, control and physical protection of radiation sources, substances and waste from the Promyshlennaya Bezopasnost Siberian Scientific and Production Association, 2011; a certificate in General industrial safety requirements in the oil & gas sector from the Yeniseyskoye department of Rostekhnadzor, 2010; a certificate in Implementation of an occupational health and safety management system compliant with OHSAS 18001:2007 from the Tomsk Centre of Environmental Audit and Management, 2008; a certificate in Radiological Safety Rules from the Krasnoyarsk State Technical University’s Health and Safety Advanced Training Centre, 2006.
